The Samaritan Center provides confidential, professional counseling for individuals, couples, children, and families in a spiritual, faith-oriented context.

Our certified pastoral counselors are committed to making counseling services available to all individuals. Fees for counseling are set on a sliding scale based on income and circumstances. Some health insurance carriers also cover services.

The Center receives support from Western New York churches, foundations, corporations and individuals. Please make a donation if you would like to help spread our healing services to lower-income families and individuals.

When Story Becomes Life is the title of a new book by Dr.Erwin Brese. The book is a compendium of his short stories based on his experiences as a pastor, counselor,
administrator, professor, author and spiritual educator. It
is for sale at the main office of the Samaritan Pastoral

contains 15 narratives and sells for $17.50 minimum (add
2.50 for shipping and handling), with proceeds going to the
Samaritan Center to assist clients who are unable to fully
pay for counseling fees.
