Samaritan Counseling Center Satellite Opens at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Angola, New York

The Lake Shore Area of Christian Churches (LSACC) in partnership with Samaritan Counseling Center (SCC) of Western New York, announce the opening of a new satellite Counseling Center in Angola New York.   The LSACC is an organization of ten congregations, working together to further the Angola area community. The new Samaritan Counseling Center Satellite will be located at:St. Paul’s Episcopal Church 930 Lake Street  Angola, NY. 14006

WHO WE ARE…
The SCC is a non-profit organization that provides affordable, professional and confidential counseling for individuals, couples, children and families in a spiritual, faith-oriented context.  In addition, we provide consultations, training, workshops and educational programs for physicians, clergy, agencies, congregations and groups.  We have been in the Buffalo area since 1959.  SCC has 14 satellite locations making it convenient for you to meet with a member of our counseling team.

THE TEAM…
The Samaritan Center staff has a broad range of training and experience. Many of our counselors are certified members on the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselors, as well as Licensed Social Workers. We also have residents under supervision and Interns from local Universities and Colleges.  Our clinical staff conducts regular weekly consultations with other mental health and medical health care professionals.

Ÿ Persons suffering due to bereavement and other significant loss
Ÿ Troubled or alienated marriage partners and couples
Ÿ Adolescents experiencing difficulty with school, family, social life or self image
Ÿ Children with needs that can be helped through family or individual counseling
Ÿ Persons who wish to understand and overcome depression, excessive anger
     anxiety, doubt, feeling of failure, trauma, unhappiness and unfulfillment
Ÿ Parents experiencing problems with their children
Ÿ Persons struggling with matters of faith
Ÿ Persons seeking personal growth or a deeper and more loving experience with
     God
Ÿ Congregation-based Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is provided for clergy
     and laity
Ÿ Consultation is available for clergy and physicians
Ÿ We also provide consultation education, training, speakers and workshops to
     congregations and other groups
